A number of U.S. ally nations are urging their trans and non-binary residents to seek guidance from American embassies before entering the country.
Several countries, including the UK, France, Germany, and Denmark, are advising citizens, particularly transgender and non-binary individuals with "X" gender markers on their passports, to exercise caution or seek guidance from embassies when traveling to the US due to concerns arising from a decree related to gender identification. Some countries explicitly warn that travelers whose passport gender does not match their assigned sex at birth could be turned away at the border.
